The New York Safety Track was opened in 2013 as a purpose build training facility for cars and motorcycles. The track was designed to challenge riders skills and provide ample learning opportunities in a controlled environment. In many ways, this track is ideally suited to our goal of producing better riders.
The track has 18 corners and can be run in either direction (“uptown” - clockwise or “downtown” - counter clockwise). We are planning on running the track in the “uptown” direction for our first trip. Here is some video from our orientation trip earlier this summer:
Running in the "Uptown" direction
There are no garages, so a pop-up canopy is highly recommended.
We will be running a typical Fishtail program with classroom sessions and on-track instructors. We will be providing lunch and water during the event.
Rider and bike prep is the same as our requirements at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The track has limited onsite camping, on a first-come-first serve basis. There is RV parking and a grass area for tent camping. Camping is $20 per weekend. Bathrooms and showers are available 24 hours per day, but there is no electricity or hook-ups for campers. Gates open for camping at 7 p.m. Saturday.
There are hotel, motel and bed and breakfast options in Oneonta and Stamford .
The track is located at 396 Zimmerman Rd, Harpersfield, NY, 12093.
Here is a topographical map of the track.
